It should come as no surprise that maintaining healthy hair requires work to keep it looking rich given all the environmental, biological factors. And although while there isn't a magic trick to having healthier hair, making the effort to maintain healthy, happy and growing strands is worthwhile. With some tweaks in your routine, you could help your hair grow and feel amazing.
1. Brush your hair before a shower
It is generally advised to detangle hair before shower. As wet hair is more prone to breakage detangling them could lead to hair loss. The natural oils from your scalp are distributed to the ends of your hair when you brush dry hair, which is an additional benefit. Another benefit is that it's already silky and stylable just after a shower.
2. Apply hair conditioner generously
For most textures and lengths, a generous drop of conditioner is sufficient, unless your hair is very long. Always start applying the conditioner beginning with the midshaft and ends of your hair and working your way up to the scalp. It's crucial to ensure that your scalp receives moisture as well. Before removing it, let it sit for a full minute. This is particularly crucial to avoid a dry scalp if you use dry shampoo.
3. Apply hair oil regularly
Use your hair growth oil on your scalp at least once per week, and everyday on the ends so you can maintain strands hydrated and smooth. This can deeply nourish your hair which leaves hair feeling soft and shining without weighing it down.
4. Keep an eye on the ingredients of products
It can be confusing to look down the hair care aisle because there are so many alternatives available. When choosing your goods, focus on those with nourishing, strengthening ingredients to help your hair be healthy, happy and growing. Always look out for elements like Aloe vera, Almond, and Argan oil. It is also advised to keep the parabens, sulfur and other preservatives away from the hair regime.
5. Keep hydrated
Drinking at least two litres of water a day will help the strength of your hair, increasing growth. Dehydration immediately halts hair growth. When it doesn't have the moisture it needs, your hair ends will split or become brittle.
