Sagittarius New Moon: Disillusions of Illusions

This New Moon is an initiation into faith, where becoming matters more than arrival.

"The Archer refines the aim where as the Horse carries us forward. This New Moon dissolves illusion so the year ahead can be lived in alignment, courage, and becoming."

The New Moon in Sagittarius on December 20th opens a powerful cosmic threshold, a moment of truth, expansion, and soul-level reckoning. Especially as the last New Moon of the Year of the Snake, preparing us for the Year of the Horse. This lunation is not chaotic like the eclipse season, but it is deeply catalytic. This New Moon is less about manifesting outcomes and more about committing to the person you are becoming. It invites you to return to your soul’s destiny, to trust the unseen and to take a leap of faith toward your higher purpose

What To Expect

With the Sun and Moon squaring Neptune, intuition is heightened, compassion deepens, emotions in love and relationships may surface and long-held illusions dissolve, revealing truth, not to punish, but to liberate. It brings themes of courage, identity, authenticity and self-love, gently yet firmly stripping away illusions we’ve been clinging to through wishful thinking. And what remains is clarity. While intentions can be set, this moon asks for discernment and patience. Rather than forcing resolutions, allow yourself to envision infinite possibilities and gently open space for expansion as you move toward the next chapter.

What TO do

- Set one clear, specific intention rooted in who you’re becoming
- Create a simple altar to anchor your intention
- Clear clutter (physical, emotional, and energetic)
- Make micro-plans: small, aligned actions toward your vision
- Practice forgiveness and release (of self and others)
- Spend time in stillness to listen to your intuition
- Ask the Universe to guide you toward greater space and freedom

What NOT to do

- Rush into rigid New Year resolutions
- Force clarity before it naturally arrives
- Ignore emotional truths that surface
- Cling to old narratives or false hopes
- Overcommit or make impulsive promises
- Bypass rest, reflection, or nervous system regulation

Burning Ritual

A ritual for Release & Realignment.

What you’ll need:

- Paper
- Pen
- Fire-safe bowl
- Candle
- Incense
- Water nearby (for safety)

Light your candle and then light some Forest Bathing Incense, take a few deep breaths and clear your aura and space and call in your highest self, the one you are becoming. And when you are ready write and reflect on the following questions:

- What story about myself am I ready to let go of?
- What am I holding onto out of fear, familiarity, or guilt?
- What cycle keeps repeating because I haven’t fully released it?
- What am I ready to forgive?

When you feel complete, read each line softly or silently. After each one say, “This is no longer mine to carry" Place the paper into the fire-safe bowl and carefully burn it. As it turns to ash, visualize the energy dissolving whilst saying, “I release this with love. I trust what is creating space.”

Place your hands over your heart and say, “I call my energy back from all people, stories, and timelines that are no longer aligned.” Take one deep breath in through the nose & exhale slowly through the mouth. This ritual is not about cutting with force, it is about consciously choosing alignment, trusting that what leaves creates room for what truly belongs.
