Scorpio Super Moon: Death & Rebirth

Mercury retrograde meets the Scorpio New Moon, a perfect storm for uncovering truths, releasing what’s outdated and stepping into your next version with truth.

"When you stop clinging to what’s leaving, you create space for what’s meant to stay. This New Moon doesn’t take anything from you, it frees you."

The previous New Moon was light, expansive and centered around connection and harmony. But on November 20th, the Super New Moon in Scorpio shifts the energy inward. Scorpio governs the 8th House, the space of deep transformation, death and rebirth and what lies beneath the surface.

This is a deeply cleansing & transformative New Moon. Anything that isn’t aligned with who you’re becoming is naturally falling away, making space for a stronger, clearer version of you to emerge

What to Expect

What was left untouched in April/May may rise again. Not to haunt you, but to free you. This is your chance to alchemize the past into power, to turn what once felt heavy into clarity.

As the veil becomes thinner, anything built on illusion or projection begins to dissolve. Scorpio’s energy reveals what has been hidden, the truths, the secrets, the things we’ve avoided feeling. This moon invites you to slow down, turn inward, release control and protect your energy.

What TO do:

- Surrender

- Cut your hair

- Cancel any plans that you’re not 100% sure about

- Tend to your self-care rituals

- Emotional declutter through journaling

- Donate anything that doesn’t feel like you anymore

- Set intentions for the version you want to step into

- Protect your energy

What NOT to do

- Overextend yourself, you will burn out

- Don’t overshare

- Neglect your health

Cord Cutting Ritual

This ritual supports you in releasing emotional or energetic connections to someone or something that you no longer want influencing your energy. Inviting closure, clarity, and space for your own power to return to you.

You’ll need:

- A candle (preferably black or white)

- A stick of incense (for protection)

- A piece of string, thread, or ribbon

- Two small objects (stones, crystals, or any symbolic items)

- A journal or notebook and pen

Begin by finding a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted. Sit comfortably and take a few slow, grounding breaths, light your incense and hold the two objects in your hand (one represents you and the other represents the person or situation you are releasing)

Place the candle in front of you and light it and affirm, “I choose to release what no longer supports my highest good”. Tie the string loosely between the two objects, connecting them.
Place them on either side of the candle, with the string stretched between.

Spend a moment feeling into the attachment, what it’s taken from you and what you’re reclaiming now. Slowly, touch the string and speak your intention, “I return my energy to myself, and I release theirs from my field.”

When you feel ready, gently cut the string.

Reflecting on the energy journal the following:

- What am I reclaiming from this person/situation?

- How did I abandon myself in this connection, and what choice am I making instead?

- What will I do with the energy I just freed?

And when you’re ready blow out the candle & let this ritual be a turning point, a clarifying moment where you choose yourself over old energetic entanglements. So you can step into this next chapter with clarity and space for the new.
